Rules, regulations & safety

Conservation of the environment

Throwing waste such as plastic or glass bottles into the valley is strictly prohibited. A fine of Rs. 1,000 per instance, per day will be charged if anyone is found doing so. Loud music, noise or any disturbance to the surrounding neighbourhood is not permitted. No loud music outside the villa between 11 PM and 9 AM.

Care of the property

No damage should be caused to the villa or to the fittings, fixtures, furniture, electronics, articles or anything else provided in or around the villa. Any damage caused will be charged to the guest.

Extra persons and visitors

The number of guests staying at the villa must not exceed the number agreed at the time of booking. Extra persons will be charged. Visitors will also be charged.

Liability

The villa owner and staff are not responsible for any liability arising from claims, expenses, financial or property loss or damage resulting from injury, accidental death, delay, alteration or inconvenience by whatever cause – including transport schedules, default, strikes, civil disturbance, quarantine, or anything resulting directly or indirectly from an act of God – on our premises or property.

Lost, stolen or abandoned articles

The villa owner and staff are not responsible for the safety, loss, theft or damage of any article belonging to guests or their visitors.

Safety lockers

For your convenience we provide a digital safe-deposit locker. Please double-check the locker in your room before departure. On request, the master key of the locker can be provided against a deposit of Rs. 10,000 (if the master key is lost, the locker becomes unusable).

Safety measures – monkeys and insects

As the property is amidst nature, monkeys may visit the villa during the day. Please take care of your belongings – monkeys love shiny objects such as phones, sunglasses, bags and cameras. Please do not feed the monkeys, as they will keep returning in search of food. Pest control is carried out regularly, but some insects may still find their way in; please keep doors and windows shut.

Caution during the monsoon

Continuous rain can cause moss to grow on the terrain around the house, which may be slippery. Outdoor furniture and some areas of the villa may be covered or not accessible during the rainy season. We request your cooperation.

Lien on luggage and belongings

If a guest defaults on payment of dues, the management shall have a lien on their luggage and belongings and is entitled to detain them, or auction them at any time without reference to the guest, and apply the net proceeds towards the amount due.

Hazardous goods and prohibited activities

Storing cinema films, firearms or any other banned, life-threatening, combustible or hazardous material is strictly prohibited. Gambling, contraband, prostitution, poisons and drugs are strictly prohibited on the villa premises. Guests are responsible for any loss or damage caused by such articles through negligence or non-observance of these instructions.

Government laws, rules and regulations

Guests are requested to observe, abide by and be bound by all applicable acts, laws, government rules and regulations in force from time to time.

Management rights

The management reserves the right to add to, alter or amend any of these terms, conditions and rules, which form part of and are an abstract of the lodging act.

Pets

Pets are most welcome at the villa. Please keep pets away from the dining area, kitchen and rooms – pet-friendly areas are the patio and the outside premises. Pets must be vaccinated. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and for any damage to the property or injury to staff caused by their pets.

Power cuts and generator

In case of long power cuts or load-shedding, the generator will run free of charge for the first 2 hours. After that, a generator charge of Rs. 300 per hour applies for AC units, geysers, fans, fridge, lights, etc.

Right of admission

We reserve all rights of admission. Couples must meet legal requirements.

Guests are strictly warned not to commit any illegal act, or any act prohibited by law, during their stay at the villa or on the villa premises.

After your booking is confirmed you'll receive a personal online check-in link. Please complete it before arrival – it includes guest details, one photo ID and your acceptance of these rules.
