Tarzan's Villa in the Wilderness
A private cliff-edge villa in the Sahyadris – stone walls, red-tiled roofs and a lawn that ends where the valley begins.
A home on the edge of the Sahyadris
Perched on a cliff above the forested valleys of Gaganbawda, The Cliffhanger is a private villa that has been welcoming guests since 1995.
Built of dark stone and crowned with red clay tiles, the villa feels like a well-loved family home: hand-crafted wooden beds, antlers and wildlife paintings on the walls, a skylit dining hall, a cosy bar corner and wide windows framing the hills. Outside, a green lawn runs right up to the cliff's edge – made for long breakfasts, games and evenings under an open sky.
Book the entire villa for your family or friends and enjoy the wilderness entirely on your own terms.

Spaces with character
Every corner of the villa has a story – from the painted-stone dining hall under its round skylight to bedrooms that open onto balconies above the valley.

Watch the sun sink behind the hills from the terrace, wake to birdsong over the forest, and in the monsoon, let the clouds drift right through the valley below.
